• Popular Women in Poker

There are lots of female celebrities involved in Poker. Mind you, they are not just so-so celebrities but Hollywood celebrities who have made significant marks in the TV and movie business and are now doing the same with gambling. Here are some of the famous actress names you might be surprised to reading on a Poker article:

Jennifer Tilly Tilly appeared in some of the most memorable "Chucky" films. On the Poker front, Tilly is mostly remembered for her World Series of Poker bracelet-winning stint in 2005. In that particular tournament, Tilly snatched a win over 600 contenders who also signed in for the Ladies No Limit Texas Hold 'Em. As if the achievement is not enough for Tilly to furnish a successful career in Poker, she followed up that win with another, this time at the World Poker Tour's Ladies Invitational Tournament.

The most obvious thing that drew the fine, pretty actress to the card world is of course, Phil Laak, who is an accomplished Poker player himself. They met when Tilly was just sparking up an interest in Poker and started dating since.

Mimi Rogers Rogers is another fine actress who is making a name for herself in a supposedly man's world - Poker. She has been playing the card game for long but never got serious until 2004 when she joined and won at a World Poker Tour event, her first high stake tournament.

If you still don't know it, Rogers is one of the famous ex-wives of Tom Cruise. They were married for over three years. It was Rogers who introduced Tommy to Scientology.

Shannon Elizabeth Elizabeth has been known for playing regularly and exclusively at Bodog.com, a topnotch Poker site. Apparently, the actress is linked to the casino site's CEO by the name Kelvin Ayre. The reports have not been dismissed or confirmed. What is certain, though, is the fact that Elizabeth is very much into Poker. She has, in fact, played at the 2005 edition of the World Series of Poker's main event. For two consecutive years, 2006 and 2007, Elizabeth was found cashing out from WSOP but continued to fail at gaining a slot at the final table of the main event. Aside from WSOP, Elizabeth has also joined many other Poker tournaments, including NBC's National Heads-Up Poker Championship. She obviously claims Poker as her second career.

By the way, Elizabeth is a famous actress from the American Pie movie series.
